I agree with Tone.
For gaps which are a bit larger, I like to tin both ends of the broken trace. Then bridge the gap using a small gauge wire (such as #26, #28 or #30) from which the insulation has been removed.
For really large gaps or jumper wires, I use the same small gauge wire except I leave the insulation on and tack the wire down in several places with some super glue. (The gel type works best.) I then solder the ends.
