S'funny, I could have sworn I heard something that sounded like a grenade pin being pulled just then!

Anyway, back to Barry and his Amazing rebadged Cybernets...

I don't like his business practices one iota.

But I have to hand it to the fella, he's garnered more publicity (both within the tech community and in the mainstream) in a month than Hyperion has managed in 10 years.

May the lulz be with him.
Blessed Be,

It will run AROS. So just get yourself a PC and install AROS. Release date today.
Otherwise you can wait a short amount of time and get an FPGA arcade.

From that link:

The company has also announced full compatibility with the open source update to the AmigaOS operating system, AROS.

That is very very misleading, and would get this company in trouble with the Commerce Commission if it existed in NZ. AROS isn't an "update to the AmigaOS operating system," it's an open-source reimplementation from scratch.

Oh, yeah. To answer your question, I haven't seen any release dates, so I wouldn't have a clue.

geeze... don't put it that way. Haven't enough vapor projects come and gone and described that way for us not to use any variant of the "coming soon" mantra? I hate even hearing those words, thats one reason why minimig was such a breath of fresh air.
Oh yeah?!?

If we go by the presumption that they're going to really release a new Commodore Amiga, then I'd say it will be somewhere in spring 2011. The Commodore PC64 is their most important model now and it has to be ready by Christmas. Therefore, I'd say Spring early next year would be my best guess, if nothing new happens.
