Test Drive Copy Protection?
« on: August 22, 2010, 04:59:04 AM »
I bought Test Drive off the internet, and like all my amiga software I archive it first, then copy it off onto new floppy disks using amiga explorer.  Anyway, as I attempted to start the copied Test Drive in my real amiga, and it failed, throwing a software error. I put in the original disk, and it worked perfectly. I also tried using the adf version directly on my amiga emulator and it too failed.  Does Test Drive have some sort of copy protection?
Once there was a man and a boy in the woods.

Boy: I\'m scared...

Man: Hah! What have you got to be afraid of? I\'m the one that\'s going to be coming back alone!

I think you will find many games have copy protection. Also Amiga Explorer struggles with non dos disks although I remember ripping test drives car images with deluxe paint so I don't think test drive is a non dos disk.
