@Radfoo:

Another reason for instability could be the motherboard. My original A1200 motherboard didn“t like my BlizzPPC, the machine simply froze or crashed regularly (sometimes it worked for a few minutes, sometimes for about an hour- but it always crashed sooner or later).

I got a new A1200 motherboard and the machine works fine for 5 years now. I guess my original motherboard was lacking the famous "timing fix".

Thanks for everyones advice, I think I have the heat situation under control.

Still having a few software problems though. Wipeout locks after a couple of minutes and I just get a grey screen when I  try Payback :-( .

Is there a site on the net with a Blizzard FAQ or something? In particular I wonder what setpatch I should use? I have also installed a BVision fix thingy that came with Warp3D 5.1, do I really need this?

Thanks :-)
