Wireless MIDI and Amiga

I just spent some of my Amiga money on a Nintendo DSi XL tonight, as I've been itching to get my hands on Korg DS Plus...

...well that and to see my Castlevania games on a larger screen. ;)

Anyhow, for those who don't know, there is a Cart available for the DS that turns it into a fully featured Korg synth, with wireless MIDI capabilities.

What I'd like to know is if there are any (affordable) MIDI devices that will allow Wired MIDI Devices to communicate with Wireless ones.

You just know this has to be interfaced with OctaMED!!! ;)

EDIT: You know what. I thought for sure that Plus was going to bring over MIDI support, but I don't believe it did as of yet. :/

Regardless, I'd still like to know if there is a way to allow the Amiga to communicate with Wireless MIDI devices.

@Vegas: Ya NitroTracker is the bomb! I remember making old Boogie Down Production beats on it a few years back!

I had a MASSIVE list of Audio Programs for the DS somewhere, but can't find it for the life of me.

Either way the latest KORG emulator is hands down the coolest thing to grace the system, and it looks astonishing on the XL's HUGE screens! :)

@Trilobyte: No BlueTooth, it expects a wireless router to be present.

Korg DS10 is nice. I spent more time with nitrotracker but I never got further than just playing around with it. Somehow i couldn´t get this midi stuff to work in a useable way. It looks like you need a pc running in between. If you get it working with octamed, please let me know! Also, if you find the list of audio programms ;)

I can very well understand how much excited you are right now. However in my opinion you should have gone for a Playstation. Playstation is much better than Nintendo in my opinion. I am not saying Nintendo is not good. Nintendo is purely for gaming while Playstation can be used for gaming, listening to our favorite tracks, watching movies as well as surfing the web. And guess what? The new Playstation is sleek and has more graphics!

Umm... slight sniff of Sony fanboy there... I don't know about you, but I've used my DS for listening to my music on the plane when I can't have my phone on. What's more, the card I use takes MicroSD, so I don't have to go buying different memory cards for just one device and copying everything across.

And then it looks like you're talking about the PS3 - Of course it has better graphics than the Wii, and has a few great games, but is that all it's about? I had a PS3 for a while, ended up selling it and keeping my Wii. I havea wireless keyboard on my Wii and it browses the internet just fine, not to mention streaming video from my PC over the network.

I had a Sony, hacked it to run Homebrew amongst other things, and got rid of it within a month.

The DS on the other hand I just keep coming back to. Having an R4i SDHC card with class 6 SDHC really helps too. It has great speakers for my musick and MP3's, I love to watch movies on the XL's large screen, and you just can't get this kind of game play experience anywhere, nor can you experience the wonders that the Nintendo Development Teams create on any other console, so all in all I'm pretty happy. Like my Amiga, her resources are low by today's standards, but she knows how to make use of them with innovation and charm.
