LC is nearly useless for the amiga ... so very rare in the community :D
on a1k.org you ll find a thread about ordering the latest MC68060/RC50 with latest mask (able to run around 100MHz)

They were used to make the fastest integer crunching commercial Amiga accelerators running @75 MHz - but probably didn't sell too well.

It's surface mount. As far as I know, NO amiga accelerators used surface mount 060's...

I bought a 68060 in 07/2009 from him and I get a broken one...

I'm absolutly not happy...


He said that he'll send to me another one, I'm still waiting...

Damn that's terrible, must have been some real shoddy packing.

I think those 75MHz Apollo boards had a surface mount 68060LC on them, maybe on a small daughter board? It was impressive for some software alright, but many applications assumed an FPU was present when it detected the 68060 and promptly crashed when it tried to use it...

The late mask 68060s with a full FPU would probably be a better bet, and as such run to a higher price on eBay... But you never know, once it has "rare" in the title it's sure to sell for higher than it should ;-)

i have a 68040v ( 3.3v ) is this processor rare?

Tut, those model 101s should be more careful when clambering around inside computer factories.

 Rare? No.

 But at least you can use it in a Blizzard 1240 with the jumper set to 060 to run the CPU @3.3V. At least it will run cooler.
