Okay so this is a thread about piracy.
Epic say "piracy drove us from PC focus"

So Amiga lost big time to the PC and consoles. We may see this go full circle.
Some people will say that piracy is causing the low sales. Others including myself will say that they don't produce games worth spending $50+ dollars on.
What will be the fallout from this supposed piracy? It can't take long to circumvent copy protection and spread the method in the internet age. I'm sick of the games companies pushing the wintel platform anyway. I can't wait to see what happens after the dust settles
The simple answer I think is that consoles are just plain easier. No f'ing with drivers. Plop in a disk and play the game.
The fact that some games have marginally superior graphics on PC doesn't matter to most people as
A: A lot of people play games and don't have bleeding edge computers
B: Most people don't give a shit.
I think PC gaming is headed in a direction where it'll be more and more smaller developers, and frankly, Im okay with that.
I like FPS's but damn, when did PC gaming get boiled down to just that, online RPG's and the occasional RTS?
edit: Here's an interesting interview with a smaller developer
