Picasso IV problems
« on: October 14, 2012, 08:10:27 PM »
Recently got a PIV that I just managed to put into my A4000 with CSII in it. However, after installing the P96 drivers that came with it I get a software error when the machine is booting. I can get it to boot with no Startup-Sequence or weirdly by holding down the two mouse buttons while WB is loading, but Picasso IV modes are not available, only the flicker fixer is working. Is the board bad? What could be wrong? OS is 3.1 (KS and WB).

How old might the drivers be - the latest P96 in Aminet is v2.0

Yes it could be a hardware problem.  The circuits for the de-interlacer are separate from the RTG circuits.  What does the Early Boot Menu and ShowConfig say about the board?  After the P96 2.1b install, there is a program to run called CheckBoards in the Debug directory; what does it say?

Installation of the latest drivers fixed the issue. I should have known that, getting old I think... Thanks all for help.
