OK, what do I need to do in order to make AmiDock transparent in OS3.9?

AmiDock cannot be made transparent.

But it can be made *look* transparent with an easy trick: take a screenshot of your Workbench without Amidock, cut out the area where AmiDock will reside, then use this section of the screenshot as background in AmiDock. Move AmiDock around so that AmiDock's background matches your Workbench's background.
