Catweasel and Mediator
« on: August 27, 2009, 11:56:43 PM »
Hi,

Clearly Mediator is an excellent hardware. Why Elbox do not allow Individual Computers  create and distribute a driver that allow to use Catweasel (PCI version) with the Mediator? I think that with more hardware compatible with Mediator Elbox hardware will sell better.

I thought that had changed. Give it a try, you never know!

That last version of OpenPCI works just fine with the Mediator, and I'm pretty sure the last version of multidisk.device for the Catweasel supports OpenPCI on the Mk3. I think the Mk4 is supported as well, but you might want to check with Jens to verify.

I looked last version of catweasel driver for Amiga and you are sure. It says that works with Mediator:

" This device is prepared to support the Catweasel MK3
in a PCI slot of an emulated Amiga (Amithlon, Amiga Forever
and the like), and Amiga PCI daughterboards like G-Rex,
Mediator and Prometheus. It still supports all versions of
the Catweasel since fall 1996."

I will try to use it tomorrow with OpenPCI and Catweasel MK IV Plus.

Was this ever settled for sure? I'm considering getting an MKIV for my Mediatored A4KD, since my HD FDD died on me (had to salvage the DD drive from my A2K).

Mac Mini 1.5GHz, that might run MorphOS someday, when the fools who own it come to the realization that 30 minutes just isn\'t enough time to play with it enough to decide whether or not you like it enough to cough up $200.
