Yes you can. as long as you have a proper mountlist for the HDD in question. However. you cannot boot from it.

is your sidecar. with SCSI controller. this controller should work with any external SCSi zip drive... (or internal for that matter) Jus make sure you get a DB 25 cable with it...

Yes, the Amiga can read non-AmigaDOS formatted hard drives on either IDE or SCSI interfaces. It is just a matter of writing the correct mountlist and having the correct filesystem available. There are tools on Aminet (e.g. Giggledisk) for generating a mountlist automatically based on the partitions on the disk.
