I've been wondering this, too.
Amithlon, correct me if I'm wrong, could run all 68K programs except those that banged the hardware direcctly (some games). Back in the day, it was boasted to be the fastest Amiga available. From what I saw of a demo at a show, this was born out. For a while, there were kernal updates to keep it running on more modern hardware. Are people still updating the kernal? I would still love to have an Amiga running (NOT inside Windows!) on modern laptop hardware.
AROS is a great project and I hear it has made strides in functionality. Can it simply run the mountain of software an original Amiga can?
Aaaarg! Once again I could not type fast enough to avoid being automatically logged out! @#$%^&!
