I haven't posted anything since my introduction a few days ago. I took some of the advice given and started tearing apart and cleaning all the Amiga parts I had. The original 2500HD would not boot, just a black screen. However I moved some parts around to the 2000 and actually now have a working machine! Here's what's in it and a few questions:
On board video out - which is black and white, sound works too.
A2065 Ethernet Card Rev 3 - Has BNC, possible to use adapter to RJ45?
A working floppy and a one that causes errors when trying to boot from it.
A2091 SCSI Card - With ribbon cable attached to a Quantum Pro 40mb hd, however I'm unsure if this is working - it doesn't boot from hd, however drive lite does do a lot of flashing - personally I don't know anything about using hd's on the machine, mounting, booting, exploring etc.
a card with a 68020 on it, which was from the 2500HD - the standard accelerator card I would assume.
A working mouse from an A500 (still have the working a500 too, just can't find the video attachment or power supply)
and a keyboard that may or may not work. Keyboard buttons seem to stick and only put characters on screen when hit hard - the one I've tried is from a commodore pc, think I have another laying around I may try.
And a few disks, workbench 2.05 and workbench 1.3 with kdv 3 virus killer, Amiga Extras - Basic - Printer Drivers v1.3.3, and Amiga Textcraft Plus. Also have a few games, no luck with Lemmings, however Carmen Sandeigo ran (I haven't had time to check the other 10 games or so that I have), but the attached keyboard has problems.
Other than this, I really have no useful software - mostly copied disks from a friend years ago - and most importantly, no manual or user guide and no idea what to do next to this machine.
Anyone got any ideas?
