Are rad disks a fixed size ?

Ever the tinkerer Ive found myself in a situation where I'd like to be able to effectively use 8 meg of fast ram as a (re)bootable storage device (after installing to it from floppy disks). Can anyone tell me if this is possible please, and if so how ? A RAD disk or similar seems the most likely candidate to me so far.

Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

No, you can make them anysize you want.  You just have to change the HIGHCYL from 79 to about 800.  That will make it ~8.1MB

Yes, I booted from 3.9 RAD, and could cram a working system to about 10 MB when testing the space requirement which was probably min. 20 MB (?).
