SimpleMail gadget no button images.

What is required to process and display the image overlays on the gadget buttons at the top.

I simply have the text and upon clicking each button I can see an emboss of where the image should be.

DOPUS/PPSHOW tells me the images are ILBM, I've got that datatype installed. SimpleMail uses MUI, as long as I have the datatypes installed MUI supports the handling of the graphic format according to the literature.

I've had a read of the SimpleMail notes but no enlightenment, any thoughts appreciated.

I also seem to have this problem with AmiTwitter, so I must have something fundamentally wrong with my OS setup.
