Amiga Hardware Database Down?
« on: November 14, 2009, 02:04:03 PM »
I haven't been able to access the Amiga Hardware Database for several days now and it appears to be down or broken.  Has anyone else been having this problem?  It is only temporary I hope.

http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/ still works

Failing that, try the Big Book Of Amiga Hardware here: http://www.amiga-hardware.com/

The first link you gave brings up the main menu but when I try to access an individual card I get the error again.  The second link wasn't what I needed as I was trying to find the system disk for a TekMagic 2060.  Thanks,

Dan

Google's cache shows the page correctly and the download links still work:

http://amiga.resource.cx/manual/TekMagic.pdf
http://www.gvp-m.com/a2060.dms
http://amiga.resource.cx/install/TekMagic.dms

Also many links in the AHDB point to http://www.l8r.net/install/ anywhere, so you should have a look there, too.

Bye,
Thomas

Why didn't you just say you were after drivers for the TekMagic ... would have done like Thomas did and direct you to somewhere like Installer's Heaven :)

Never mind  Glad it's all sorted now.

Is anyone else having the problem that I am?  I go to the Big Book Of Amiga Hardware and from their driver menu try to go to the Amiga Hardware Database and can't.  I can go to all the other links on the driver menu with no problem.  Is the problem in my computer or the web site?  I only ask because I have had weird problems with this computer before.  Thanks again for the help!!!

Hopefully they are just having problems.  After my initial post the site started working again for several days, but the last several days it has been having problems again.  It would be like a punch in the stomach to lose this site.  It was always reassuring to know that when you bought second-hand hardware online or elsewhere that you could get the most recent software and drivers for it and many times the owner's manual as well.

Hi,

we have currently some issues with the server (likely hardware
problems), but it's nothing to worry about.

Cheers,
Joerg

AMIGA HARDWARE DATABASE (amiga.resource.cx) is ONLINE !
