FS: Efika with Morphos
« on: October 16, 2009, 12:02:51 AM »
I have a 400MHZ Efika with Morphos license for sale..

I happened to have a nice 1.42 Mac mini and I'm trying to offset the cost of licensing Morphos on that as it is a more powerful machine.

The Efika was bought from Directron with the black metal case and it has a ATI 9200 video board with 128MB ram. The video card is "HIS" brand And I'll throw in a DVI->VGA adapter.

bbond007@hogranch.com

Morphos license alone is $224 USD, so I'll offer the whole deal for $225 plus shipping.

Thanks.

Which is why more are not sold.

Your efika is a great deal.

A whole dollar for the hardware, isn't that a bit steep you think? (Just kidding of course!) :-P ;-)

Wow, this is really the deal of the year!
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :)

Well, the way I see it, if the Morphos team would let me transfer the license, which did not seem like they would, then I'd have probably have an Efika sitting in my junk doing nothing. This way we gain one more Morphos user!

I'm happy with the $1 price. I'm about to leave on a much needed vacation to Kona Hawii and this let me get the Morphos key for the Mini without changing my budget :)

Congrats to you both!
Net increase in MorphOS users=1
Save 2600,I think you have met  Santa Claus! That is well over $100 of hardware for one dollar!
I don't have  $225 to spare or would have beat you to it.
Still think MorphOS license is too high, but as a package this was deal of the year!!

bbond007 has sold his Efika for much too little, that is outrageous to sell a nice Efika and case and power supply with a graphic card for only one dollar!

I won't sell mine, which is exactly the same except my graphic card is a Radeon 9250 w/128mb VRAM, for less than $6 plus shipping, plus the MorphOS registration of $224.

So, if anyone wants to pay me SIX TIMES the amount bbond007 charged for his Efika hardware, they too can have a hardly used Efika in the black Directron case with pico power supply and HIS brand Radeon 9250 graphics card.  No hard drive will be included, but the registration keyfile will be sent to the new owner via email (as you all should know, the keyfile will only work on my specific Efika as it is locked to the hardware it is issued for, not the name of the owner)

Please contact me via email that is shown in my profile here at A.org.

How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Thanks Recidivist, I'm really looking forward to exploring the MorphOS universe. A dream to be able to use an alternative OS for more "serious" stuff (I'm aware of some of the limitations of this little system however) in this day and age, but am happy with my Mac again after going from Tiger to Leopard and back to Tiger now. Computer feels like it 'should' (Leopard absolutely sucks on a G5 and even worse, Snow does not support PPC - what a crock!).

Anyway, about a year ago, I lost out on a brand new Efika for $50 BIN that was on ePay. It came with the black case, but I don't believe it had a video card or anything else as I would have definitely snagged it at that price. I remember taking some time out to look into purchasing a video card for it and by the time I came back to ePay, it was gone! I'm glad I caught this sale so I can now finally mess around with this cute little system :-)

Money sent - thanks again for offering Nate!

Oh, my bad

I think the one I had was a 9250 as well. Whatever...  It was the one suggested for MOS.

I have one offer from outside of the USA, but would prefer to ship to someone within the USA if possible.  Are there no other people interested in getting a very slightly used Efika with Directron black case, HIS brand Radeon 9250 graphics card w/128mb VRAM and pico power supply PLUS registered version of MorphOS2.4 keyfile all for only $6 more than you would pay for the registration alone for the MorphOS keyfile?

That is about $200+ savings.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Amigadave,

150 Euros = 223.5 U.S. dollars today

You need to drop your price $0.50 USD
