eBay is baffling when it comes to Amiga games.

I tried to sell a mint boxed complete copy of Gloom (floppy version) on eBay UK a month or so ago, and it didn't go first time. I relisted it and it went for the minimum bid of £1.99. There is currently a copy of Gloom on eBay UK with the cover missing going for £20!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3056437062&category=3545

The seller says "COMPLETE" in the title, but then later in the description "NO OUTER INLAY JUST BLACK BOX + 2 DISKS INSTUCTIONS BOOKLET BOXED". He also says "AMIGA VERSION OF GLOOM"... I wasn't aware of any other versions!

Unbelievable!

Hehe, that's eBay! You have to luck out when you list stuff that there are at least 2 people out there who both want your item, and you are the only one with that item listed at that exact 3-7 day period that both of them are looking for it. You also have to take an educated guess at what part of the world wants your item(s) and start the auction time accordingly (so it ends at around 8PM in their time zone).

I've sold the exact same part for $4.99 and $89.00 in two different auctions (yes I had more than one of them). It's just part of the fun of eBay. :-)

I've sold the exact same A1200 bundle 6 times (yes, again 6 complete bundles) each time it's gone for anywhere from $125 to $310. But, if I start those 1200 bundles at something in the middle (say $200) nobody bids. Start it at $9.95 and I get 50 bids that grow to $300... I guess it's just the nature of an auction.
If I have military spec stuff listed on eBay, you can find it here  :-)
