WTB: Amiga 3000 desktop case and ZIP memory
« on: November 13, 2009, 10:51:28 AM »
I'm looking for a nice Amiga 3000 desktop case to replace the damaged one I bought... also, if someone has or knows where to get some additional ZIP RAM for the machine all info is welcome!

Regards

Hello,

What do you search exactly? Complete case or simply some pieces (the top, the bottom, pieces indoors)?

How many ZIP modules do you need?

Ideally a complete "outer casing". The screws have been drilled out which has ruined the base unit. The top casing has been dented and has ugly non-removable paint.

A spare PSU would be nice but not needed, the same goes for all brackets, floppy holders etc. I have those, if they are included I'll take them for spares ;-)

It's only got 2MB of unknown kind (sc or page).

Ideally I'd be looking for 16MB, but 8MB would be a great start... Ehhh, so 16 or 32 zips...

Feel free to make me an offer on 8 MB. I have 8 MB installed in my Amiga 3000, but the 8 MB zip is going to be pulled out as it is going to have a CSPPC installed. I have 4 MB more pulled from a AlfaData 1200-1 ram expansion that can't recognise the ram (ram is tested in a Retina Z3 and works fine). I don't know if they are compatible or not. Anyone knows how to check? If I install them in the A3k, will something break?
