not to mention you are messing with different scsi technology.  SCSI 2 50 pin drives are good enough and at least they work most of the time.  I got some 80 pin drives that even if terminated properly don't show up on some controllers.

Jam in a 50-68pin converter and it'll be fine.

Only time I've ever has a problem is with picky scsi controllers, and you'll know the picky ones as they have a problem with almost anything.
