Setting up a HD in MacUAE
« on: August 04, 2009, 10:22:08 PM »
Would someone please explain step by step in layman's terms how to set up a "HD" on
a Mac running OS10.5? I did read the docs, but couldn't really make heads or tails out
of it. I have no partition to set aside on my current setup, although I do have access
to an external firewire HD. Was hoping I could create a virtual hard drive (4gb or
less) using the regular HD though if possible.

Really what I'd like to do is transfer files between my Mac and A500 with its SCSI to
IDE adapter which is then hooked to an IDE to CF Card adapter. Works great on my
A500, but whenever I insert the Amiga formatted hard drive, which is really a 2gb
CF Card, the Mac complains that it is not readable and forces me to ignore of eject it.

I've heard that MacUAE is light-years behind EUAE and the Hi-Toro menu for it.  Another option might be to try WinUAE under DarWine which, if it works at all, should be the best option.
