Amiga.org magazine
« on: July 27, 2009, 04:22:36 PM »
I just picked up 10 boxes of old amiga mags. At the bottom of a box with old CU's, Formats, Shoppers, Futures and many others i found the first issue of Amiga.org magazine dating 2003.
Since i wasn't aware that such a mag ever existed i was wondering what happened and how many issues there are?

1 Mag released, but one had to subscribe (and prepay) for a whole year.

A scam ? Or just simply a failure ? make your own picture ......
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

It wasn't a scam.  It was Kees project during the dark ages when I was busy getting screwed over by Bill Buck / Genesi.  You might fire him an e-mail and ask.

No, it wasn't a scam. I prepaid for a one year  subscription and got the first pre release magazine. After months of waiting for the first real issue I asked for and did indeed get my money back.

Apparently, it was not possible to get enough subscriptions to get a real magazine going.
