Selling Commodore Collection!
« on: June 23, 2009, 12:30:33 AM »
Okay,  well, as much as I love my Amiga - C64, my upcoming marriage/move has brought me to an inevitable conclusion - I need to sale my Amiga Hardware/Software.

Well, I have thought about selling on ebay - probably get the most bang for the buck, but I don't want to deal with auction/selling and time is of essence - so I'd like to sell my entire collection in one swoop...

I have the following Amiga Hardware/Software:

Working Amiga 2000 HD
--- with 500 MB SCSI (7.0 ROMS) (Rev 6) (9 MB TOTAL ) (Battery Removed long ago!)
  --- A2630 68030 Accelerator (25MHZ)
--- Keyboard missing a key - look at the pics!
--- Amiga 1.3/3.1 Roms with Switcher (Built By Nathan from AmigaManiac.com)
--- Amiga 2000 PSU to Modern ATX Cable (Built by Nathan from AmigaManiac.com).
--- Amiga Video to VGA Adapter (you'll still have to supply a convertor like Ambery or a compatible monitor).
--- Amiga Mouse (New style as sold on Amigakit)
  --- External A1010 Floppy Drive

Also,
2 Amiga Compatible Joysticks
2 Original Amiga Mouses
4 Amiga 500  - 2 work fine (1.2 Roms) w/ 1mb ram - 2 don't work but I kept for parts.
2 Working A500 PSU
SuprRam500 w/1MB of Ram  (for A500)

I also have 2 original A500 boxes - but they have been beaten pretty bad, so I let you decide to keep or not...

Amiga 1000
  --- 256K Ram
--- Keyboard space key not working at times! Replaced original keyboard cable with black one!

Iomega External SCSI Zip Drive - works with A2000 - just funky to setup sees 100mb disks as 50 mb paritions!

Amiga Workbench 1.3, 3.1 OS Disks...
Amiga 1000 Manual
Amiga Workbench 1.3 Enhancer Guide
About 100 Amiga Floppy Compatible Disk
A bunch of Amiga Software including games/Deluxe Paint 4 - Digi Paint 3/Textcraft

Working Commodore 64
 --- 1541 Floppy Drive
About 50 5.25 Floppy Disks
x1541 Serial to Parallel Adapter (+ Parallel to USB Cable) so your 1541 Drive and be used on PC to make disks, work with emulators

Here is link to the pics...

I live in SC and willing to drive within 100 miles of my house to make exchange easier for anyone!  I live in Florence, SC area off I-95.

I am asking $550 for the entire lot...

Also, I have an old Mag 17" Monitor (as seen in some pics) that I will throw in if you want it for free!

Please, only serious inquires and I don't want to piecemeal this stuff.  And yes, I know I can probably get more selling parts off ebay, but I don't want to deal with ebay/shipping.  I'd love for my miggys to go to a fellow Amiga lover who can use and enjoy these wonderful machines!

Thanks,
Mike Valverde

Sorry, no trading... just selling.  It got to go cause once I move it will end up in storage and I rather see it bought and used instead of stored away!

Thanks,
Mike

If I lived even remotely to you I would be very interested.  As it is, I live in Kansas, and my wife would probably have a new pair of earrings if I bought that set.  Can't blame her though, I have a full room of Amiga computers now.  Sigh.  I wish you the best of luck in getting this sold.  Oh, and congratulations on getting married.

Glad to see that you are selling your collection, instead of putting it into a storage container and having it rot, or never get used again.

My hardware collection is far past complete, but I am always on the look out for complete boxed software with original floppies, CDs and manuals, so if you have any software that you would consider selling separately from the hardware, let me know.

Good luck
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Well, it seems I have no takers for the collection - I just live to far out in BFE for my fellow Amiga lovers!  I guess I'll have to do this the hard way, and sell the collection off in pieces and ship them....  I hate shipping such stuff cause you never know how the postal people will handle them... but I guess that is why they have insurance.

For Sale:

Amiga 2000 HD.... $300 + shipping.
--- Amiga Video to VGA Adapter (you'll still have to supply a converter like Ambery or a compatible monitor).
--- Amiga Mouse (New style as sold on AmigaKit.com)

Iomega External SCSI Zip Drive... $20 + shipping
--- works with A2000 - just funky to setup sees 100mb disks as 50 mb paritions!
--- Also, have a few zip disk and will throw them in...

A520 RF Adaptor.... $15 + shipping.
External A1010 Floppy Drive .... $25 + shipping.
2 Amiga Compatible Joysticks... $20+shipping.

2 Original Amiga Mouses... $20 + shipping (they are yellowed!)

4 Amiga 500 *** SOLD ***

SuprRam500 w/1MB of Ram (for A500)... $40+shipping.

Amiga 1000  ... $50 + shipping
--- 256K Ram
--- Keyboard space key not working at times! Replaced original keyboard cable with black one!

Commodore 64c Collection...$75 + shipping.
--- 1541 Floppy Drive
--- About 50 5.25 Floppy Disks
--- x1541 Serial to Parallel Adapter (+ Parallel to USB Cable)
--- Expy FastLoad Cartridge

I live in SC (29574).
I can give estimates via USPS website, but actual shipping won't be know until I take them to PO to view, so please only ask if you really want the item.

Also, the ground rules:
--I will only ship to confirmed, continental US Addresses.  No out of country, overseas, etc.
--I will only accept payment via paypal.  Easiest for me to handle.
--Everything is AS-is and working unless stated otherwise.  Due to the age of this hardware, I cannot guarantee anything, but I will only ship w/insurance so we are both protected from lost or damage unless you specifically request not to bother with insurance.
--Want more detail, please ask!
--I will ship via USPS unless you ask me not to and rather pay for UPS or FedEx.
--I will not take parts out to sell separately..

I will list the software, floppies, etc. separately as soon as I have time to take pics.
No hardware includes software unless specifically stated too.

Don't like a price, make an offer - the more you buy, the cheaper to ship and the better deal I am willing to give.

Also, first come, first serve.  Once I make a deal, I'll update post and ignore other offers on same items...its only fair to one and all!

Thanks,
Mike V

Hi, just curious:

Why don't you sell to o/s buyers?

I assume o/s = Overseas: cause shipping is so ridiculously expensive for anything over a few ounces to a pound, that once I get a quote, the person always says thanks but no thanks.  So I just don't want to deal with that anymore.

Hey, I was duped... that's a 64c you've got there! lol   I'm looking for a good old fashioned C64 "breadbox" setup  :-)

Nice collection though. Good luck with your sales Mike.

Huh... didn't realize they distinguished much between the C64 stuff... was there a difference besides looks or an actuall hardware change?  I know the Amiga revisions sure made a difference on the A500 and A2000s.

Anyway, thanks!  I'll update my post.

Later,
Mike

Cosmetically and the way the keyboards feel, the two machines are night and day.
Couldn't comment on the benefits of functionality between 'em (even though I've
owned both), just prefer the original C=64 for nostalgic reasons.

The keyboard mechanisms in the 64 and 64C are actually exactly the same (believe me, I've had them all in pieces) but the newer C64C (short board) actually does have some differences, for one, they're more reliable, but the different chips they used caused a couple of minor incompatibilties, raster dots at certain times and lower volume digitized samples.  For the most part, though, they'll do.
