FastATA MK-V & 80GB
« on: July 10, 2009, 10:27:26 PM »
Here’s the scenario.

Amiga 3000T, Warp Engine 40Mhz 68040, Picasso II, OS3.1.

I boot off a 240mb  Quantum hooked to the Warp Engine.
I recently added a Elbox Fastata MK-V card, hooked to that is a WD Caviar WD800BB 80GB.
I installed the FastATA software. The FastATA recognizes the drive and I have PIO 4 and split mode set. I loaded HDToolbox and proceeded to partition the drive. HDToolbox showed 15 LUN’s. I partitioned all using SFS v1.277. The first partition is just under 2gb, the rest are all around 4gb. After a reboot none of the partitions show up so I can format them. What am I missing here?
I have no intentions on booting from the IDE drive, it’s going to be used for storage only. I would have liked to have 2 or 3 partitions only but I was seeing some strange stuff using NOSPLIT  when trying to partition the drive with HDToolbox.
Please go easy on me, it’s been 12+ years since I fired this machine up and have forgotten a lot.

Thanks for any help!

Mike
