Milkytracker 0.90.80 for OS4 released
« on: April 23, 2008, 01:28:31 PM »
A new version of Milkytracker for OS4 has been released today on the Milkytracker homepage. This version should have the keyboard problems and filemanager crashes fixed, among a long list of new features and bugfixes.

Most notable changes for this version:

- Open up to 32 modules using tabs, allows simultaneous playback of different tabs, copy pattern data/instruments/samples between tabs

- New resamplers for improved sound quality: Cubic Lagrange, Cubic Spline, Fast Sinc, Precise Sinc, Amiga 500, Amiga 500 LED, Amiga 1200, Amiga 1200 LED

- Render parts of the song directly into a sample slot (from HD recorder)

For the full list of changes from the previous version, check the readme  on OS4Depot.net. For any problem and/or suggestion feel free to email me at varti02 at hotpop.com.

Awsome!

 I hope this also finds its way to BeOS/Haiku some day.

Itix did a MOS-port, too shame I fell in love with Renoise. Its without doubt the best tracker I have ever used, have to admit it even beats OMED V4.

@XDelusion
I'll ask on the #milkytracker channel if there's anyone interested in a Beos port. Are you a Beos/Haiku user?

@hooligan

I have read his post on morphzone.org, nice to hear that it has been already ported.

@TheGoose

Same here and didn't like it back then. Now, a few weeks back I retried, got familiar to it about two days, was amazed how easy it is to get used to, did my first song on it the third day. Was sceptical about it but was proven wrong :-)

Technoid: Yes I'm one of the world's 5 remaining BeOS users. ;)

 I don't currently use Haiku except under emulation as it is still a work in progress, but am eagerly awaiting the moment when it will replace Be.

 The odd thing is that the "media OS" does not have a tracker program at all.
 There was once a commercial tracker out there, but that company or coder has long since vanished.

Anyone ever use or see BUZZ Tracker in Windows?

 Amazing software!!!
