You've lucked out, the Amiga is alive and well, altho not as unified as some would like. There is the official Amiga and there are workalike projects out there as well.
New models released in the past 5 years in order of release:
Access, Amiga1200 clone that fits into a standard PC's 5.25" drive bay
Pegasos, PPC motherboard made by ex-Phase5 engineers. Runs the AmigaOS compatible MorphOS operating system.
AmigaONE, PPC motherboard designed by the asian design house Mai and sold by Eyetech. Is slated to run AmigaOS v. 4 when it is released, and runs Linux at the moment.
Pegasos II, second revision of the Pegasos motherboard. Released only last week.

Elbox SharkPPC, accelerator card for your old Amiga's.
Eclipsis, a portable version of the Pegasos.
AmigaONE Lite, a mini-ITX version of the AmigaONE.
