In my first reply on that thread, (message number 22, page 1, near the bottom) I lamented the state of education in America and England, and its effect on the writing seen on the Internet.
While I doubt that the negative tone and flavor are what you want for
every article in the Soapbox, I suspect that the quality of the work is about on a par with what one would reasonably expect from a column created by the site's rank and file members.
:-? Is that assessment about right? Would a posting like that be about what you're looking for?
