TGEmu - MorphOS released
« on: March 13, 2004, 08:21:01 PM »
TGEmu emulates the classic NEC TurboGrafx16/PC Engine game console. TGEmu currently runs many commercial titles with good speed, sound support and reasonable compatibility. The MorphOS version also features a new MUI based "skinned" gui. Expect more options and some small bugfixes in the next release.

 Have fun :)

Hugo is open source and supports Turbo CD's, does this?

If this emulator does support Turbo CDs, then I HIGHLY recommend anyone who uses this and is interested in a good engaging real-time role playing type game to find a copy of Ys book I & II.  I still play through it once in a while, the CDDA music is absolutely fantastic and the voice acting is really impressive for an old first generation console CD-Rom game.

@graffias79

I agree, the Y's series was fantastic. Some of the best classic
RPG's ever.

Hugo is having some Endian issues AFAIK, and nobody checked it out about fixing it.

As to tgemu AFAIK the author was working on a new version which should add CD-Support, but never
released it (I was in email contact with him as
I did a WarpOS-port and later a - no sound yet -
OS 4 port of tgemu). Hmmm, maybe I should request
the Source-code for the sound-stuff from the
MOS-version, it is GPL after all :)
