OK, we'll deal with the PPC 'solution' when it comes out, but it seems the first release is the Athlon XP.
This means they will have to have the ability to buy off the shelf parts and put them in a case (have to assume he has the fancy case from the pictures, but then again, it may differ 'slightly' and end up being a case you can buy from other dealers)....
How much is this case worth?
Well, just grabbed a dartek catalogue...sure everyone has a better source than that, so check your favorite internet retailer.
An Athlon XP 2400+/80GB 256DDR Ram CD-RW system with Windows XP Pro edition, ran a whopping $649.
Ryan's system with perhaps a case that you want, (I don't)...and unknown spec's and maybe a free OS like linux, though we don't know the OS yet, so its speculation
AND by the way, don't anyone dare criticize me for speculation, Ryan has caused that by not releasing details...
that makes with his $999 price point, a free OS and funky case a $350 premium over a $649 dollar system sold by dartek (established in 1978 for real, and a very honest dealer)
I agree with Paul, I would trust Amiga, Inc. first, and thats saying a lot, because I don't trust Amiga, Inc. or any Amiga player, except the AROS team.
