Salon's Tech section has a good story on Dani Bunten, the creator of MULE, one of the more original games out there in the Atari (the 8-Bit Amiga) and C-64 days.

I remember MULE - quality game -anyone know whether there was ever a version (shareware or not) for the Amiga?

check out eidolons-inn , there apparently was one game, Traders, that is called MULE-like. EA did, apparently, have a conversion in the works back around 1985/86 but, unlike 7 Cities, didn't see the light. Too Bad.
