Well.. I've had for some time already (over a month now) so it is not exactly news. I talked about it in a forum as well.
And I was a bit disappointed really. I mean: Even the cable that is delivered with it doesn't fit on the board (cable has a 'bump' on it, while the connector is for 'bumpless' connectors). Luckily I had another floppy-cable laying around.

Also the Windows drivers for the joystick ports are not done yet, and I couldn't read/write an Amiga-image, since apparently my diskdrive is unsupported. I still have to go out and buy another one some time, so I can properly test it.

Oh.. and did I mention that my PC doesn't shut down properly when that card is in? I have no idea why it is, but as soon as I took out the card the PC was shutting down properly again. (Device is working properly from Windows though).

Regards,

Onno

Well. Based on what I have heard (had not yet time to test myself) All those ports do work on WinUAE.

And about Amiga disks.. That I have tested it on my win2k PC and It works Ok. So it's most likely that loppy drive you happen to have in your PC...

One thing you did not mention is version of Windows.. Before purchasing I hope you have checked that your's is supported?  It may be possible to intall different version drivers to windozse but those usually don't work properly?   :-?

I heard that myself, but I don't use WinUAE.... I have Amithlon.. I'm pretty sure someone will build support for it someday in Amithlon, but I was hoping this board could replace my Digital-joystick adapter, which I use to be able to play games with the classic arcade joysticks under Windows. So it was disappointing to see the Windows drivers for it missing.

Well I was already pretty sure it was my floppy drive. As I said: I won't be able to test this properly until I've found some compatible drives. Oh.. and I use Win2k as well.
But it is good to hear you don't have any problems with it. Makes me more confident to go out and buy some compatible floppy-drives :-P

There are documentation on Jens site about what drivers do and don't existis. I can't be sure but I have not seen promices of Amithlon as  it's most likely something Jens can't make on his own...  OTOH  I'm quite sure he'll welcome any contributions for Linux driver code needed :)

For me.. Next is that I'm going to find used 5.25" drive and test it too (at least C64 floppes.. bopefully with AppleII too).. I'm quite sure I still have one or two of those somewere here but I can't remember where have I put it since it's been years I have had any need for those.   :-?

I had 3 brand new 5&1/4 PC floppy drives sitting in my closet for years, and I just threw them away a few months ago :-x  Now I'll be shopping for one :-x
