frustrated 52yr old just purchased AWeb3.3 reg version
downloaded & installed AmiSSL + ciphers into aweb dir
it wont work????
it will only use insecure connection and says that
there is a handshake failer aswell.
i have tried ed version ssl2 & server ssl2 in ENV & ENVARC
still no joy what am i doing wrong???
as there are no further docs to veiw HELP???

Can't help much, but did the install put
proper ####igns in the user-startup or
startup-sequence? It needs  them to find
the certificates etc.

Don't use the version of AmiSSL from the same site as IBrowse (2.2, I
think it is). Use the older one. 2.2 isn't compatible with AWeb.

AmiSSL has put the ####igns in my user-startup
the version that i have downloaded from the open
source site is v2.0
but have i put everything in the right place???

As you've been told before, AmiSSL V2 does only work with IBrowse yet. For AWeb you need AmiSSL V1 from http://www.heightanxiety.com/AmiSSL. And you have to upgrade to AWeb 3.4. 3.3 does not work with AmiSSL. Get the update from http://www.amitrix.com/aweb.html#aweb34upgrade.

You may also try the latest free AWeb version from http://aweb.sunsite.dk/.

finaly getting somewhere.
upgraded to AWeb3.4 pch installed AmiSSL V1
AWeb now knows its there BUT WARNING
says  cannot make secure connection edit:europe yahoo.com
      sslv3 alert handshake failure
      use unsecure connection instead
 
any IDEAS?????
