Really nice job Rodney and it gave some insight into Olaf Barthel as well, seems like a level headed bright guy!

Olaf, if you read this post - thanks for all your past and present efforts for the Amiga.

Well, your probably well aware of the Open Office port for AmigaOS. This would have to be one of those worth while projects you talk about! Have you meet the people working on this? They seem to be working closely with Hyperion?

The only thing we(the AmigaOffice-team) got from Hyperion sofar are the
sources for an unfinished GTK-port which turned out to be useless as
OOffice doesn't use GTK at all (slight missunderstanding on our side).

AmigaOffice won't be a specific OS4 app, and is planned for OS4/MOS/
Amithlon plus maybe AROS. And it won't be finished anytime soon  :-x
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

> BTW WTF is so stupid or insulting about "What's your favorite beer"? His answer was he doesn't like beer, so it negates the question anyhow

Nothing, if it had been left at that. But the fool questions just kept coming and coming and coming...
I just felt it left a bad taste in the mouth, leaving in so many personally directed questions he obviously did not want to answer.

It's not obvious to me!

Surely if he didn't want to answer them, he wouldn't have. Nobody forced him to answer.

I thought all his answers were interesting and the ones to the silly questions were humerous, as were the questions themselves.

J :-)

Rodney

I cant believe you put those silly questions in, but it seemed to go off OK. Seems Olaf has a sense of humour ( oh no! ) unlike some of the up their own @rse people on here.

Dave.

Note >DaveP< Ive already had a problem over that.
Hate figure.

Listen, if you are going to use the word 'arse' at least have the balls to spell it correctly.

I thought i should show this, since, one person seems to care so much

Everybody has the right to be lampooned. Unfortunately, this right is exercised
so rarely that people seem to forget about it entirely. Anyway, I'm not that easily
embarrassed. I was surprised to see how many people actually took offence to the
questions -- rather than to the answers ;)

I think that says it all Cuke, or whatever your name is!

Well, that's nice to know. No harm done then, Rodney. Just thought it rather spoiled an otherwise professional and entertaining interview. (And BTW, that ANN discussion shows I was by no means alone!)

I've only flicked through it quickly but it seems quite interesting. Sorry to see you got slagged off at ANN Rodney... :-/.

Nice to see you have toned down your criticism.

People wonder why I dont bother with ANN. Its full of the dregs of the community at the moment and has been for about six months.

Its nice when I travel because the company private firewall for travelling wireless connections doesnt allow cookies so I cant read amiga.org but its certainly full of people who are full of it.

Rodney, I thought it was a good interview, if I had thought you were going to include the questions I secretaried I would have edited them and put some from me rather than my drunken mates down the pub. :*)

What about these sources, does they work (could be used for some other goodies: GIMP; Mozilla ...), are they available?
Best regards,
