New Project Petunia benchmarks

New benchmarks show an impressive speedup!
http://amigos.amiga.hu/rachy/petunia.html

Also Ben Hermans commented this on ANN:
"On a 600 Mhz G3 with on-die L2 cache and a 133 FSB, you can expect much more than a 150-200 Mhz 060. I would consider a 300 Mhz 060 to be the absolute minimum."

The current benchmarks of Petunia are being held back by several factors even on the current PPC cards:

1. The 68K is still stealing cycles from the PPC just by being "awake". If you put it to sleep completely, this results in substantial performance gains.

2. Dual CPU architecture with context-switches and cache-flushes.

3. WarpOS not Exec SG is used.
All in all I expect the emulator to reach at least 060/50 performance even on the lowest (160 MHz) BlizzardPPC
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

It's looking REAL GOOD!  :-o

The A1 will be no slouch! CS-PPC and BlizzardPPC owners also will get a speedup.

Keep the good news coming boys!

Wow, that's really impressive...and it means current hardware
will also benefit massively from OS4. I must admit, after
trying MorphOS on my 603e/200 I didn't have by far this high
expectations for emulation performance. Well done to
the Petunia team!

The MorphOS-Beta doesn't use JIT (MOS1.0 will) so it's like
comparing an old UAE version to UAE-JIT or even Amithlon.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else
