Dead accounts?

Reminder, when you sign up here, the site sends you a validation link.  If you sign up with a bogus e-mail, or don't receive that message, you will not be able to validate that account.  At this time I have no way to resend the activation e-mail.

Wayne,

I tried to create the account Erwin-K from work using WinNiceTry 4.x and IE 5.5. I listed my Yahoo account rather than the .gov one associated with this machine. I picked an Avitar and filled out everything on the form except the website, as I don't have one.

I couldn't log in then, or now.

          Hope this helps,

               Bob Kennedy

When you register, you should receive an activation e-mail.  If you didn't give us a real e-mail address, you will never be able to activate the account.

Then again, using a service like hotmail or yahoo, all bets are off as to where it might have put the e-mail from us.

There is no Erwin-K registered here.  Might be a bug caused by the dash in the name.  I adjusted the security to allow dots and dashes in the username (I hope).

Please register again.

Wayne,

Its sort of interesting. Yahoo Mail only allows the underscore in mail names besides letters. My U.S. government email uses dots between parts. On the Linux front Red Hat allows the dash in logon names, while Suse 7.3 does not. Go figure. I'll try again, but no email received from you at home as of 9:00pm EST.

Wayne,

Using the version of Mozilla that came with Suse Linux 7.3 I was able to register, get confirmation, and login within five minutes.

One problem, the 'View Avatar' link did not work. (I happened to remember the number I wanted.)

I chose the Tellus theme and that seems to have reduced the size of all lettering to about 5 points.  ???

Otherwise this whole thing's looking good.

Best,
