You have CV64/3d.  This had a flicker fixer available for it.  I have this board too, but b/c it is slower than my CV64 i have not it and the  the flicker fixer much, but it worked pretty good for PAL.  i think you are better off going for this, unless you use BVPPC, in which case why do you have the CV64/3d installed?

I have internal flickerfixer/scandoubler in my desktop A1200. It's the FlickerMagicT from DCE (purchased from Vesalia for 89eur) It is originally meant for tower A1200 or A4000. It clips on Alice and Lisa. The image quality is great  :-)

Note: this is not meant for desktop 1200 so some modifications must be done. For example you cannot put the HD on its original place.

Okay. I think i only now need a scandoubler to play them old WHD installed games, cos they both display in PAL and NTSC. And the Blizzardvision that i currently have will act as a flicker fixer for the things that need it.

Will i need an internal one or an external one? I need to know for definate before i start splashing the cash again. I have a power flyer installed and is the main concern for me. Also where are the cheapest ones and from where? Also, i will need a monitor switcher to switch between these modes, so where can i pick one of these up then? An for how much?

Thanks

So what you are trying to tell me is, that it would indeed be IMPOSSIBLE to fit an external sd/ff in my A1200T due to space taken up by the power flyer - is there nothing else i can do, like modify the board or something? Looks as though its external sd/ff for me then. How much as these (the cheapest). Thanks for the replies by the way.

INTERNAL Scan Magic by DCE for A1200/A4000 (or Flicker Magic, there's a few names for the same device) cannot be installed in any A1200 setup (desktop or tower) if the Power Flyer is present, because one takes up space for the other and vice versa. They use totaly different chips for their clip-on modules however due to the size of the PowerFlyer's Gayle clip-on module there is not enough space for the Scan Magic's Alice clip-on module to be installed.

I am not sure whether it is possible or not to trim down a little the Power Flyer's Gayle module, but I wouldn't recommend it.

If I were you I'd get an external SD/FF and be done with it. You will be able to use it on other Amigas, too. Another option is to go for CV64/3D's SD/FF expansion, or for Picasso IV ZII/ZIII card which has a built-in passthrough for native modes and is also a SD/FF, however I'm not sure if it works with Zorro hacks for A1200 as well as it does for the real ZII/ZIII busboards.

Isn't there a Gayle "riser" clip available
somewhere to solve this? It would be a shame,
the internal scandoubler is the way to go for
picture quality.

If there is indeed some Gayle "riser" then could someone please point me in the right direction. I have some IC Sockets, that rises the power flyer and Roms so that it won't interfere with the Blizzardvision. So i am guessing that some may exist for this purpose as well. Am i right? If not then i will opt for the external one.

Thanks,
