Demo Recommendations
« on: May 03, 2009, 05:18:39 PM »
For some stupid reason (sad earlier life?) I missed out on the Amiga demo scene, so I'm now catching up. I see there is a HUGE amount out there, so I thought I'd ask for some recommendations. Thanks in advance!

p.s I have already watched Jesus on E's / cheese and Odyssey

christ, were to start!

http://pouet.net/ is also a good resource, for Amiga, and demo's in general. Anything by the black lotus (TBL), ephidrena or andromeda is well recomended.

some of my faves:
(AGA)
tint
starstruck
nexus 7(bare A1200)
lapsuus (you need some grunt for this!)

(ECS)
desert dream
hard wired
Hardknee Lotus (new school effects on A500)
jesus on E's

I have to recomend these two old school non amiga demo's while i'm here:

robotic liberation (vic 20)
edge of disgrace (c64)

i'm going to try and run these on my A4000 under emulation at some point.

As the poster above me I'd recommend Desert Dream, if nothing then only for the music

And don't forget Enigma by Phenomena, I still love the Mars trip, joyful music. This demo alone made me want to become an asm programmer, and while I was learning it I experimented (in AMOS  :-D ) with 3d programming, and since I had no book no nothing, I invented my own strange algorithms that could rotate around two axii.
That was around 1993-94. may those years rest in peace
I have spoken !
