FS: A 2000 Keyboard keys and such
« on: March 17, 2009, 06:08:46 PM »
Good Day all!
For those that have been following my blog, over the weekend, I did a A 2000 keyboard fix.
As a result I have a A2000 keyboard for parts, so if anyone needs keys, let me know.
I am selling keys (including "spring") and shaft for a buck a piece. Shipping will be a $1.50 in north America (in bubble wrap envelope)($3 in "Box") or double that for overseas. Of course, Shipping is per shipment, not per key, so if you need more than one the shipping doesn't change.
Other parts are
Cable- $1.
circuit board -$5
Plastic spacer board (not sure of exact name)-$5 including the LED.
Shell-$5
The space bar is yellowed badly, the 2 "Ctrl" keys are gone.
(pictures are on blog of course)
For those that are not comfortable to do it themselves, I offer a repair service for $25- Total Teardown, Clean and rebuild. Once I can source HP, I will offer Retr0brite service as well.
I have Amiga stuff for sale at http://amigalounge.com. You can follow my builds there also.

That a real nice blog you've got! Lots of interesting Amiga topics. However, you *must* invest in a 2-3Megapixel (at the minimum and I mentioned 2-3 because they're so cheap!) camera. I recommend a Canon. The photos on the blog don't do justice to the content :-(

BTW, I *really* would like one day to understand what you can't stand about trackpads :-)

/me runs and hides, hehehe

And also if you've used an iPhone and how was your experience with that touch device and also the new MacBooks (the larger, glass touchpad). Just curious, not saying that you have to or anything. I personally find them amazing (now that they have multitouch/multifinger capabilities - scrolling with two fingers in all 8 directions is simply un-replaceable for me).
