GVP A530 HD Mask, MaxTransfer
« on: March 02, 2009, 07:28:33 PM »
Hi.

Any know what type of Mask and MaxTranfer I should use with my SCSI drive?

I have installed SFS 1.279 filesystem.

use the standard settings:

Mask=0xFFFFFFE
MaxTransfer=0xFFFFFF

The problem is when I try to transfer large amount of files from CDrom (use idefix97).

The disk just stop..no error on screen..only busyicon..and nothing more..

Another problem is, I open CLI and just load the rom into fastmem. (just for test) when I do that, the HD take a reset. and I get file error. (it can be, that I have to load it in my startup-sequence, at the top?)

Hardware:
Amiga A500+
GVP A530
2MB chip, 8MB fast.
quantum atlas II 4.3GB SCSI disk.
Kick 3.1
Amiga OS 3.1

Thanks for any help.
Sorry for my bad english.

 Low the maxtransfer to 0x1FE0. Probably will solve your issues.
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

This should read 0x1fe00 or 0x20000. You don't need to go any lower than 0x0fe00 or 0x10000. 0x1fe0 is nonsense.
