« on: February 16, 2009, 02:44:19 PM »
Has anyone got any tips for fixing amiga 600 cases when the clips are broken? and can anyone answer me what commodore were thinking when they made the clips so flimsy?

Hmmm... I haven't had any break on me over the years, but it's possible they've become brittle over the years as the plastic ages. Depending on what uyou want to do, you could fit a long hinge to the back (a piano hinge IIRC) so it poens like the bonnet of a car (hood if you're in the States)...
Engineers do it with precision

thats not a bad idea, might give that a try. only thing is that the side clip where the floppy drive sits is the main concern, without that the case seems somewhat "baggy" and makes inserting a floppy a bit less smooth than desired.

OR, you could put the hinge up front, so the hood opens from the back like a jag or beemer :-P
