What's the best photo/image editor for the Amiga? Can I convert PC images to use on my Workbench screen?
If you don't mind to use a paint program (not exactly what you want), Cloanto (the same company who make Amiga Explorer) have their paint program for free.
Is DOpus 5.xx still available?
Nope. But
new 4.15 is available for free.
I received a registration key for MUI, named MUI.KEY, but I don't know what to do with it?
A hat? A paper airplane? Nah, just toss the unpacked key into the L drawer.
Would a Highway USB Controller with Norway Ethernet for Highway USB be OK instead of an X-Surf?
Subway is an USB controller for the A1200! Norway is (sadly) out of production.
But why on hearth you want USB? "Because I can?" If you want just Ethernet, check what kind of bridgeboard you have and toss an old, trusted ISA NIC into your A2000!
If you were going had an A2000, and you wanted to get another Amiga, would you get a A1200, or a A3000, or a A4000, or an ACube? Something with a tower case?
I'm a die-hard fan of "classic" Amiga. I have some here. My favourite is the A2000, hands down.
Notice that I have a towerized A1200 with a 040 CPU, 64Mb Fast RAM, Mediator, Voodoo card, PCI Ethernet NIC and big HD and DVD.
And Acube is the maker of the SAM 440ep board, not the name of the computer.
Have you ever heard of using a memory card as a hard disk? I saw something about someone using on on a website...
How can I repay all of you for all the help?
As other mentioned, Compact Flash cards (some brands, be warned) works as IDE HDs very well. To use them with your SCSI controller, you need a SCSI to IDE bridge (most famous is the Acard 7720).
So you need: the CF itself, the IDE to CF adaptor and then the Acard SCSI to IDE. Lightning fast to boot and no moving parts. Prices are not SO "yummy", BE WARNED. Small units are cheap, of course.
