I second -D- 's opinion. Zorro-II will only be a PITA if you have to use a Z-2 SCSI (or ,even worse, IDE) controller.
Or Z-2 expansion memory.
For expandability, stick with Zorro-3 Amigas (3 & 4k) or A1200+ MediTator.
Not arguing the expandability factor, the Wildfire, as do other 060 cards for the 2000, has on-board SCSI which maps outside of ZII space (I believe ZIII space, but I am not positive.) So the SCSI for these cards is faster than ZII expansions.
My query was directed at the through put of a Deneb USB 2.0 card over ZII, in concert with the PIV on ZII. Obviously, the USB card needs the speed of ZIII to operate a USB 2.0 high-speed.
So, all-in-all, on a 2000, it's no different than, say, an older Pentium III-based computer with USB 1.1.
Me, personally, I have a Blizzard 060. I'd happily sell that if I could get a Wildfire. My 2000/060 is a nice machine, but what I'd really like is to convert my 4000D/060 with PIV & XSurf to a USB-mostly machine using the Deneb: network, sound, etc. Well, that and a CyberStorm PPC, of course :-D
