@Gebrochen

It's not an emulator. You may recall they said straight port. It's just some virtual machine CPU box optimised for x86. The VPU is little endian. It's Bill Mc's dream, for some reason he wanted to slap the Amiga name onto it. Even though the Amiga name was a joke by the time he cane about he still wanted to use it. Go figure? :-?

Rob:

So Bill, how do you get a community of several thousand computer users.

Bill Mcewen:

Well you start off with a community of tens of thousands of computer users.

In a years time, Amiga inc has succeeded in getting listed in an American phone games catalogue and developing a creepy Snowman maker.  Nice, except that

a) I'm not in America and
b) I live in the subtropics where *any* snowman is probably creepy and
c) I use an iPhone and Amiga Inc is a Windows shop.

Ah, lest I forget, they also created a tip calculator too (which is useless as I live in a country that doesn't tip).  The code must be from an intro to VB textbook since it's three formulae on an otherwise blank screen.

Does anyone honestly expect an OS out of these people?  The only products they produce are using TAOS Intent.

I do since you can always outsource your brains to some other company, then sell (or at least release) the product branded as yourself.

Say, did the Amiga Inc. make ANY of its software products entirely themselves?
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)

OS 5 will ship the sametime Duke Nukem Forever will. . . NEVER! Both are figments of the respective developers imaginations.

Hopefully the poor economy will put Amiga, Inc. out of business like the superfluous third nipple it is.

Wow - he really oversells it doesn't he. I don't even know of anyone who has released a product for it other than the two games promoted on his site.

I look to Europe of any innovation on the Amiga front!
