Multisync CRT monitors that work with all Amiga modes?
« on: December 20, 2008, 06:39:51 AM »
Hi,

I have an old, but trusty NEC Multisync II 14" CRT monitor, which can display all Amiga (AGA) screen modes, although some of the non-interlaced ones are slightly squashed on the screen and require a bit of 'fine-tuning' with the monitor controls...

I'm just wondering if there's a list of other multisync CRTs that work with all Amiga screen modes?

I know the original NEC Multisync and the MS IIa and MS 3D also work, but wonder if there are any other brands that will do the same (I'm taking the Commodore 1950/1960 and Microvitec as read)...

There are a lot of good (and cheap) monitors available and I'm hoping that there are some Sony, Phillips or other good brands that I can keep an eye out for?

Cheers,

Mike.

Hi,

Thanks for the list...

I remember, back in 1992, we had a huge (21") NEC Multisync 5D at work... I think they chucked it out!

I believe it handled 15KHz modes too... What a waste!

Cheers,

Mike.
