Who here has a C-One? Any C-One experts?
« on: December 06, 2008, 06:24:08 PM »
It's been a while since I've personally used a C-One much. I know of the new cores (Vic 20, new C64 core, Minimig), but haven't played with them yet. How about a show of hands for C-One users here?

Questions:
Do any cores besides the Amstrad core support the built in floppy? The answer is probably NO, but figured I'd ask.

Cores, which ones? I know of the C64 cores, Vic20, Amstrad and Minimig, but what others are out there? Wasn't there an Williams Arcade core in the making? An Apple II? Links?

Any Minimig core users?

From what I have read about the new C64 core, it looks pretty impressive. Cart port support is big, improved video output is also big for better monitor support.

I'm looking forward to playing with the C-One again soon, pretty exciting stuff.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

I am no expert on the C-One.  However, go to

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/cone_cores/?v=1&t=search&ch=web&pub=groups&sec=group&slk=1

to read all the messages about the CommodoreOne there.

Oh, by the way... if you haven't seen them before, check out my videos of Jeri Ellsworth and George Sanger at the Notacon/BlockParty 2008.  Jeri gives a talk on "Making Demos with FPGAs", specifically with the CommodoreOne.  Jeri and George then present their CommodoreOne demo in "Flame Demo Presentation".  The videos are http://blip.tv/file/821819  and  http://blip.tv/file/821758  respectively.

With my computer back up and running, I'm starting to get my C-One up and running. I have ran it for the first time since I got it in 2006.

Finally, I can get to work on this for a little bit.

I have yet to get the extender card and make the Cartridge Port fix on the BA line for the cores.

I'm no expert, either but I'll raise my hand for indicating that I have a C-One.
