128Kbytes - 0x1FE00

Can I re-set that or I'll need to format again?

did you set this using hdinsttools or hdtoolbox ?

just try this. download nexus7 from aminet

http://aminet.net/package/demo/tp94/nexus7

play it on winuae. copy to your CF. see if it works on your amiga (if max transfer is wrong, it will get corrupted.)

well... I believe that 128 was too much for my IDE... :(

So, I'm re-formating my compact flash with SFS and using 64 for max file transfer.

remember to enter 0x0001FE00. hdinsttools pads zeroes to the right making the value 0x1FE00000 if you just enter 0x1FE00.

Are you serious??? What a strange behavior... Quite unusual.

So, probably I included a blazing xtremely fast speeds on my MAX transfer! :D

Don't actually remember which tool I have used...

BTW, is there a way to test the MAX TRANSFER SPEED maximum value before writing the partition information and formating? That's because if I miss, I would need to erase and write everything again, over and over, just to try to find the best value??
