CDTV floppy drive question
« on: December 04, 2008, 01:54:30 PM »
Hey everybody, I have a question. Is it possible to plug another external floppy drive into an external floppy drive on a CDTV, or any Amiga for that matter? I know there is a small toggle switch on the back of the floppy drive. Is there a special position this switch needs to be in to make this possible? Thanks.

Barney

You should be able to use upto 3 external floppys on Amiga (and on CDTV too i guess) but it probably depends on your PSU as well.

The switch on external diskdrives is probably only a powerswitch iirc.

nope, its all good. you can daisy chain up to 3 (or 4 if df0: is external). the switch is just for if that drive is on or off.
the amiga/cdtv will then assign df1: df2: df3: to each external drive it finds at boot up.

A500, A600, A1200x3, A2000, A3000, A4000 & a CD32.
and probably just like the rest of you, crates full of related "treasure" for the above XD
