Seems a pretty rare item to me (never really seen one before myself).
I wouldn't have paid that amount of money personally, but I can imagine people wanting this would bid this high...

Since that I bought the A1200 when it was launched never see anyone selling this item. No shop, no people, not auction. For me super super rare. And it looks very complete and new.

Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

Crikey that's a fair bit for something with quite limited usefulness, and it hogs the most important connector in the 1200. At least with the A500 one it can attach to a pass through from another expansion. The version for the A2000 is pretty rare as well I think.

Cheers,
Rudi.

High for my taste, but a buyer was willing to pay...

Also I agree with those who´s voiced it here, it seems rather rare. Maybe not super rare, but a nice add on to an amiga collection.

Remember, you wanted it too :)

But ask red or other dealers, maybe they can find one more? Also try amibay.com. Maybe a owner will part from his for a little less?
A posting a day keeps the sanity away...

It was advertized some 6 months in Amiga mags, but never saw it tested in CU or AF mags.

Yeah? I'm sure I've got a couple from the old days that were in A1500's (UK special offer B2000)

Yeah...

actually I have felt very sad loosing the auction but thinking about what Ruud said and am quite happy now to not be the winner. This nice card cannot be used at the same time with my blizzard!  :-D

Ok maybe not *that* rare but certainly less common than the A500 versions. I still have a mkIII safely stored at home.
A thought occurs: Any way to incorporate an Action Replay into the minimig using a rom image taken from an original unit?

Cheers,
Rudi.

I had three of A2000 versions at some point, two of them dead. I killed one when I inserted it the other way around to the connector, one of the PALs got busted. funny the other broken one had the same PAL busted, seems like a common mistake with those ARs. It's not that rare, but you gotta know where you're watching (nihehe). A1200 one is a totally another class of rarity, class of flying serpents. Usefulness is another issue, hrtmon seems to do just about anything AR does, but if you're Toni Wilen or something you may find a use for it.
