Replace leaky batteries with button-cells?
« on: November 30, 2008, 11:34:42 AM »
Hi,

My A500's RAM/clock card's battery has decided to leak and make a mess of the PCB, but doesn't look like any damaged tracks yet...

I can remove the old 'barrel' type battery no probs, but I don't really want to stick another one in its place.

Is it possible to used the button-cell 3.6v batteries (like the CR-2032) as a replacement?

Cheers,

Mike.
