advice needed on dual booting hd`s
« on: November 04, 2008, 07:46:29 PM »
hi people
i am in need of some advice on my dual booting system
classic 1200 os4.0

i have installed 2 hd`s primary master DH0 OS4 priority 4
primary slave HD0 OS3.5 priority 3

installed os4 first no probs booted up fine.
then installed os 3.1 activating the fastata111 driver first so that it reconises the seperate hd`s again booted up no probs, then installed os3.5 reboot no probs

BUT,now i can only select os3.5 (HD0)
if i select os4 (DH0)it loads the 68k then reboots again, when it reaches the final purpel screen it goes to white and thats it,

i have tried to stop it twice in the early boot screen to re-select DH0 but cant.
all drives are there in ataprefs, in both OS`S

has anyone else installed 2 hds in there tower with dual booting either os4.0 on 1 & os3.5/3.9 on the other

DH0 is in my kickstart/bootdevice drawer & i have done the
Echo >Kickstart/BootDevice DH0 in shell.

any advice would be more than welcome
mike
